What is Kingdom Builders?
Kingdom Builders are a group of fully committed individuals and families who prayerfully give,
over and above their tithes, to global missions, local church expansion, and next generation leaders.
Serve Week
July 11-18, 2026

Jesus Himself said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and give His life as a ransom for many.”  That’s why In our church, we genuinely believe that we are most like Christ when we serve, when we give of ourselves for the sake of someone else. No strings attached, unselfishly giving of our time, abilities and labor - all in Jesus’ Name and for His sake.

SERVE Week is all about sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways.

Our goal isn’t to promote our church; there’s no hidden agenda. For these eight days (192 hours), we will focus on being the hands of feet of Jesus. Our prayer is that our combined efforts will be a powerful display of God’s love for all people.

Kingsway is partnering with Homeward Bound for the third time, the Camden County animal welfare and pet adoption organization. Homeward Bound provides shelter, a medical care pet clinic, and housing for animals, helping them find a forever home. Kingsway SERVE returns for our third year at Homeward Bound Animal Shelter/Adoption Center. This year, we are focusing on the rear of the building, creating “Sniff Garden” beds for the dogs. This will involve assembling raised beds and planting a variety of flowers that are calming for dogs. In addition, we will repair several gates and fill holes in the rear dog Play Areas, as well as assemble Benches to be placed there. Due to Homeward Bound rules, volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Read more about Homeward Bound at www.homewardboundnj.org.

Kingsway is sponsoring an outreach that offers toys and clothing for families in the community. People will be invited to "shop" for needed items from 10:00 am–1:00 pm, while volunteers (ages 16 & up) will assist with event setup and cleanup, serve guests, and help host those who are shopping. There is a limit on the number of volunteers who can serve on July 11. However, there is also an opportunity to donate new or gently used toys and equipment (no car seats). Needed items include pack-and-plays, strollers, swings, bassinets, cribs, mattresses in good condition, toys for children ages 0–5, and maternity items (sorted by size and gender, if possible). Donations can be dropped off at Kingsway Church's Washington Township Campus on Monday, July 6, from 9:00 am–6:00 pm.

Faces of Change is one of our Kingdom Builders partners, and we love coming alongside this addiction services ministry to support all they are doing in Camden. This year, we are helping provide an “Old Fashioned” outreach, with volunteers serving food, helping wash feet, distributing clothing, and praying for people. If you are a medical professional interested in helping with wound care, that would be a great support as well. This serve opportunity is open to adults and students ages 13 and up when accompanied by a parent. Visit www.fochange.com to learn more about Faces of Change.

Young Lives is a ministry that comes alongside adolescent moms and dads to help them grow in their faith, life, and leadership. As our serve to them, we are providing a “Parents Night Out.” Volunteers will provide dinner and spend time with the parents while also caring for and engaging the children so the parents can enjoy an evening together. Those who are already screened to work with minors, or who currently serve on our Kid'sWay or REVO teams, would be a great fit for this serve opportunity. Packing parties are exactly as they sound—we'll come together to pack hygiene kits for three different ministries and utensil packs for Cathedral Kitchen. In addition to serving, you'll have the opportunity to hear from representatives of each ministry and learn more about the impact these resources will make in our community. This is a family-friendly serve project and is open to all ages.
